Universities in Flanders score well in World University Ranking

Flanders once again has three universities in this years World University Ranking of the British newspaper The Times. Since Flanders only has six universities half of these are represented in the Top 200 World Universities.

The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven scored the best with a position as number 72. The University of Ghent was listed as number 124, while the University of Antwerp closed the list as number 195.

The three Flemish universities that are not in the list are either very small or offer a limited range of disciplines.

As was last year, Harvard leads The Times rankings, with Yale close behind. Cambridge and Oxford took third and fourth places respectively. Both institutions shared second place with Yale last year.
